From his first turn at the wheel of a rental go-kart at the tender age of 7, Mattia Marchiante was destined for the race track. Born on Feb 13, 2009, in Milan, into a family where the roar of engines was a familiar backdrop, it was Mattia’s father who first introduced him to the thrilling world of motorsports. His early experiences on the circuits of Viverone, where he competed in his first competitive kart race at age 10, ignited a fierce passion that has propelled his journey ever since.
FROM KARTING TO RACE CARS
Mattia’s karting career has been marked by numerous successes, including his first victory in an amateur championship and consistent top finishes in prestigious competitions such as the WSK Final Cup and the Rok Cup Italia. His skill on the track, particularly at his favorite Franciacorta Karting Track, has highlighted his talent in mastering both high-speed straights and challenging corners.
At the end of 2023, after testing a formula prototype, Mattia decided to take on the challenge of the Italian Sport Prototypes Championship and Formula 4. The 2024 season marks his debut in car racing, with his first race set for June 7—an important milestone he approaches with great enthusiasm and solid experience gained from every test and lap on the track.
In the Italian Sport Prototypes Championship, Mattia immediately showcased his talent, becoming the first polesitter of the 2024 season at Pergusa, a circuit he had never seen before. This achievement made him the youngest driver ever to secure pole position at the Sicilian track, further proving his speed and ability to adapt to new challenges.
Also in 2024, Mattia took another step forward by transitioning to Formula 4, demonstrating his eagerness to take on even greater challenges.
In 2025, he debuts in the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia with Ghinzani Motorsport, marking another key step in his career and reaffirming his continuous growth and determination in motorsport.
