From his first turn at the wheel of a rental go-kart at the tender age of 7, Mattia Marchiante was destined for the race track. Born on Feb 13, 2009, in Milan, into a family where the roar of engines was a familiar backdrop, it was Mattia’s father who first introduced him to the thrilling world of motorsports. His early experiences on the circuits of Viverone, where he competed in his first competitive kart race at age 10, ignited a fierce passion that has propelled his journey ever since.
Navigating the Transition from Karting to Car Racing
Mattia’s karting career was marked by remarkable achievements, including a notable first victory in an amateur karting championship and consistent top finishes in prestigious competitions like the WSK Final Cup and the Rok Cup Italy. His prowess on the karting track, particularly at his favorite circuit, the Franciacorta Karting Track, showcased his ability to master both high-speed straights and challenging turns.
By the end of 2023, after testing a formula prototype, he made the definitive decision to compete in the Italian Sport Prototype Championship. The 2024 season marks his debut in car racing, starting with his first race on June 7th, a milestone he approaches with both anticipation and a great deal of racing wisdom gleaned from every test and every lap. In 2024, Mattia shifted gears, competing in Formula 4.

Mattia’s racing approach is deeply collaborative. He thrives on the synergy between him and his team, which includes seasoned mechanics, a chief engineer, and a telemetry analyst, crucial for refining his performance down to the finest detail. His preparation extends beyond the track; physically, he trains intensively in the gym, and mentally, he sharpens his reflexes to respond with precision under pressure.
